millionaire-layered Horlicks

To bring a malty twist to Veganuary (and beyond!), we've developed a range of hot and cold vegan drinks that recreate favourite desserts - with the warm, toasty notes of Horlicks forming the biscuity base.

This can also be made with Horlicks Original, and vegan ingredients can be substituted for non-vegan alternatives.


Made using Horlicks Vegan.

All malt, no moo. A dairy-free addition to the Horlicks family.


  • 3 heaped tsp Horlicks Vegan
  • 200ml oat milk
  • vegan-friendly chocolate sauce
  • caramel sauce or maple syrup
  • cocoa powder
  • mini vegan millionaire shortbread


Warm the vegan chocolate sauce and pour approximately 2cm into the base of your favourite glass mug.

Warm the oat milk and Horlicks Vegan, whisking to get a foam. Using a heated milk frother will produce a thick cappuccino-style Horlicks.

Pour gently into the glass over the chocolate sauce - pouring the milk over a back of a spoon will help to keep the layers.

Add the vegan caramel or maple syrup and watch it gently sink to form a beautiful caramel layer.

Dust the top with cocoa powder and serve with a vegan millionaire shortbread square.
