crumble & custard shake

To bring a malty twist to Veganuary (and beyond!), we've developed a range of hot and cold vegan drinks that recreate favourite desserts - with the warm, toasty notes of Horlicks forming the biscuity base.

This can also be made with Horlicks Original, and vegan ingredients can be substituted for non-vegan alternatives.

All malt, no moo. A dairy-free addition to the Horlicks family.


  • 3 heaped tsp Horlicks Vegan
  • 200ml oat milk
  • 2 scoops vegan-friendly vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/4 finely diced green apple
  • 1 crumbled vegan biscuit


Place the oat milk, Horlicks Vegan, ice cream, vanilla essence and cinnamon into a jug blender and blitz at full speed to make a smooth, creamy drink.

Pour the drink into a glass, and garnish with a crumbled biscuit, diced green apple, and a pinch of cinnamon.

For a garnish to truly impress, thinly slice an apple and dip each slice in sugar syrup (50% water, 50% sugar). Place on a tray and dry in the oven at 70C until crisp.
