Horlicks loves ... Autumn

Autumn Walks

Summer might have been a wash-out, but now it's time to wrap up warm and enjoy all the seasonal changes that autumn brings.

Why walk?

Getting out and about in the countryside is one of our favourite ways to enjoy the crisp autumn weather. Whether you take the kids for a family stroll, the dog for a brisk walk or your other half for a romantic meander, walking is one of the few exercises that you can do completely for free.

Going for walks, however long or short, is a fabulous way to see all those golden autumn leaves and witness the changing of the seasons as winter approaches. And the added bonus is that regular exercise promotes sleep.

Where to walk

There are plenty of places you can pick for autumn walks; from your local park to areas of great natural beauty such as beaches, moors, dales, hills, woods and forests. You could also try http://www.walking-routes.co.uk/ for links to some more specific Autumn walk destinations.

Warm up with a mug of Horlicks after your walk and you should find that all that fresh air helps you sleep like a baby!
